Grace's First Hair cut, (by me)

I am going to start this post with a story from my childhood!!!!

It was back when bangs were cool and before me and Steph thought hippy hair was cool. I use to LOVE my bangs, i first had the awesome 90's bangs, remember how hot they were?!?! For real even in elementary school i had to have my bangs done perfect!

Then After those kinda died out i had the huge curled under bangs, I liked mine thin!!
One day back in like 4th grade my bangs would not work, so i got the scissors and cut them, but as i cut them they were uneven so i cut them shorter, this continued till i had bangs that were a 1/2 inch long and could no longer be curled!!
After looking at myself, crying, i decided the only thing left to do was to just pull more hair down and cut some new bangs!!!!
I had the worlds thickest bangs for a year, after that i let my bangs grow out and haven't had them since!!!

With that story in mind.....

Grace's hair has been driving me crazy, it has never been cut,
(unless you count the time when i did pretty much the same uneven trim bang)
(job when she was about a year old!!!)

So after Kyle left to look for sheep, i got the scissors and started cutting my first born child's hair!!!!
This is her long uneven hair before i got ahold of it!!!!

This is what it looked like the first time i thought i was done!
It was just a little uneven, this is the reason i never when to hair school!

This is the finished product and it is pretty even!

I probably wont be giving anymore haircuts in the near future, you'd think id learn my lesson!!!

Fruits and birthday

How much do you think you would pay for all of theses fruits and veggys?
I have been doing the Bountiful Baskets and i love it!!
For all of this.......
  • cantaloupe
  • bananas
  • grapes
  • strawberry's
  • pears
  • pluots (plum and apricot mix)
  • corn
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • egg plant
  • baby cucumbers
I paid $16.50!!
I think that if it is offered where you live your crazy for not doing it!
Linns charges WAY to much for fruits and vegetables, (and everything else), So i love that i am able to get stuff that is super fresh, cheap, good for you, and we get to try new things!!
So if you are fed up with grocery stores charging way to much for semi good produce,
check it out!

...............................................................................
My mom's birthday was this weekend so me and Jakell went over to her house to swim and eat cake!!!

I didnt get many pictures cause we were in the pool for pretty much all day!!
But i did get this one of the twins, as soon as i got the cake they climbed up on the table to have Grandma feed them!!
All of the kids love being over there, they just run wild!!!
We missed Jerrica, but she is a little bit pregnant so she will have to come next year!!!

What, she cant be that old, I'm not that old!

I got news that my baby, who isnt a baby anymore, gets to go to preschool this year.
At first I was excited, then i started thinking about it and i got a little less excited and got a little anxious and then started eating a giant symphony bar and crying.

Where does time go??
It really feels like yesterday i was bringing her home from Richfield, now shes in school, backpack and all.

I told her that she got to go to school this year and she got a huge smile on her face and said "can you see how excited i am?"
Then i started to tear up and she said, "dont be sad, i'll miss you and the sisters, but i am so excited, see!?" Then smiled!!!

I guess that means she is ready to go, and i guess that means that i will just have to deal with her getting older!
It will be good for her, she needs some social experiences, and it will be good for me, I need some quite time!!!

But i will still probably cry while going school clothes shopping,
and picking out a backpack,
and when i drop her off and she'll run away from me smiling, I will still probably be crying.

Rain and the bear!

It never rains here.
It usually looks like it is going to rain, then goes right around us.
So yesterday when a huge black storm was coming at us, i thought nothing of it!
Neither did Kyle so he loaded Josie up and went to get his trail camera.
After he had been gone a few minutes, the wind started to blow, then the rain started slow, then harder, then both picked up into hurricane like wind and rain, then came the hail!!
I called him hoping he would be in his truck and not stuck out in it, and he was almost home.

When the hail started Grace came running to the back door saying the it was raining marbles and they were bouncing on the grass!!

Ive been in "summer rain storms" and this was nothing like them, it was so crazy, and kinda scary!!
It turned our road into a river!!

This one one of the cool clouds, it was alot prettier in person, i couldnt get the colors to look the same from my camera!

Grace was out playing in it with all the other neighbor hood kids!!!

The twins just kinda hung out in the play house and watched everyone!

That was till Alaynna escaped and ran around for awhile!!!

And then......

Today we went and got the bear..........................
Our 400 LBS bear......................
Ya thats all i have to say about our new pet!!!!!!

So if you have ever wanted to see a bear in a rednecks house, come on over!!!!
This is not its final resting spot, we still arent for sure on where that will be, but for now, i have a dead stuffed bear in my house.

the rest of the week

I thought i had a few more posts to do about our vacation, but i didnt get many more pictures so this will be the last one!

Wednesday we just hung out in Marysvale and did laundry, took baths and showers, and just let the girls run! While us girls were in Marysvale hanging out Kyle went for a ride up Beaver Mountain and he has a panoramic setting and so he thought he better learn how to use it and got these pictures.

On Thursday we got up went for a little walk and a little ride then decided a Cherry Fresh Lime from
Sandys was what we wanted.
So off to Richfield we went again.
We didnt do much, got a few new movies from the redbox, ate lunch and drank our Cherry Fresh Limes.
After not sleeping for 6 nights i was really tired and had a really bad head ache so we went back to the trailer and i slept while it rained and Kyle watched the girls!

Friday morning Kyle got up and went for another little ride and i packed up things for Fish Lake. Neither one of us wanted to go, we were ready to be home. But we went anyways and got up there got checked into our cabin and they had moved us from where we thought we would be.
The cabins were horrible.
We had planned on having a fridge, stove, sink, but had none. After the week we had we just decided to go home!
It was nice to be in nicer weather, but the twins are just at a bad age to have in the mountains camping for a week.
Maybe next year it will go better, but neither Kyle or i see another long camping trip in our near future!

More of Marysvale

Monday

Monday we went shopping for food for the rest of the week, and you know those moms that just let their kids run wild, i am usually not one of them, but that day i was!
I didnt take one picture that day!
We went shopping in Richfield, when we were to the canyon there were cops sitting there not letting anyone threw cause there was a mud slide so we went on the back roads!
After we got to the trailer it rained the rest of the day so we hung out in the trailer and watched movies in the dvd player we bought!

Tuesday

We decided that a week in Marysvale wouldnt be the same if we didnt go fishing up at Barney Lake.
So we loaded everything we would need for the day and went.

It rained for awhile and it was kinda cold, but it was nice.
That is for sure my favorite place on earth.
When we got to the road to go to the lake there was a big tree in the way.

But Kyle being such a manly man, just hooked a chain up to it and moved it with his truck and...

his muscles!!!
(haha)

By the time Tuesday came all three of the girls were sick! But we pretended they werent and drug them everywhere.

After some juice and a hotdog the girls started to feel a little better and were using the cooler and everything inside of it for toys!

Kyle and Grace sat up there fishing poles!

And Addison went threw the tackle boxes!

Grace developed a attitude problem while we were there and this is her "duh" look.
She acts like a 13 year old, pretty sure i have alot of grey hair!!!

Since I am the fisher women of the family i was the only one that caught a fish, and it was a beautiful 18 inch tiger trout!!!

Even though the girls were sick and kinda mean and cried alot, alot, i was a fun good day!!!
