Halloween

To say my children were bouncing off the walls on halloween night, (well the 30th cause thats when we celebrated here in the valley) is a under statement!!

Grandma Merri came over and got them all sugared up and then I had to try and get them to hold still while i got them dressed!!
It was alot harder than it sounds!
I for real was chasing them around the house and i even made Kyle hold them down for a minute, to try and get them ready, that is why the twins hair looks...  the way it does, to put it nice!

I took them outside in hopes of getting a good picture of the little devil fairies, but i didnt get a great one like i was hoping, but since they are beautiful, i got some ok ones!!!

The flowers that i got were as big as there heads, and the twins didnt really love them so they got ripped out about 100  times before the night was over!

We didnt do the trick-or-treat thing, moslty because they all have colds and there noses were running and i just didnt want them out in the cold!
So we did the grandparent thing!
My mom came by with treats that got them sugared up,
Then we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Leavitts for some yummy puffed rice balls,
Then down to Grandma and Grandpa Leavitts, where they got to see all the trick-or-treaters and pass out some candy, (and they loved it!) get thrown around by the uncles, see tiffany the dog-fish, and play with aunt Laura!

By the time we left they were down to onsies and were passed out before we got home!

They had alot of fun and it was fun to see them be crazy, even though they wore me and kyle out!

The only down side to this Halloween was i didnt have one tricker-or-treater, so now i have about 6 bags of salt water taffy and a bucket of other candy!

Graces Halloween Party

This week was a busy one, it has been a blur.
But it has been so nice to sit around on this long weekend and the best part is we even have one more day of it, yea for holiday time!!

On Thursday Grace had her school party and we were in charge of a veggy tray and I even got around to making some yummy Halloween chex mix!

At the school they do a parade out on the playground so we had to go watch her walk around with all the other kids, i was excited!
I am one of those moms that the office ladys get sick of cause i call so much and ask stupid questions, so it is a good thing one is my mom-in-law and i am pretty sure she has to love me no matter what, right Nancy?!

I didnt have enough time to get everything i needed finished before we left, so i was multitasking.

As I was driving down the valley, in construction, tying ribbons on the bags of chex mix,

Grace asked,"Should i pray?"
I said, "what?"
She said, "Should i pray we dont get ran over."
So I laughed and stopped tying ribbons and started to look at the road, sometimes she reminds me that i am doing something i probably shouldn't be doing, i love it!

Ever since we went to Disney land Grace has been wanting to be Tinker Bell for Halloween so thats what we made her!

I am to cheap to go spend money on costumes so i made them this year, some people thought she was a butterfly and it at first made me upset, but i got over it, cause butterflies are cute too!

When we got out on to the playground she kept waving telling the kids that, "Theres my mom and sisters and Grandma Nancy!"
And she waved, every time she seen us!

The other little princess fairys are Allison with the dark hair and Saphire with the blond hair!

Of course Conner wasnt to far behind, he is spiderman!!

Kids make every holiday funner and she was so excited to dress up that it made it fun for me to, but i am glad that holidays are only once a year cause 12 four and five year olds could drive a person crazy!!!!

Carmel Apples

These are the wonderfully awesome caramel apples we made,
We didnt scrub the wax off of them and put a little tooooo much milk in the caramel so it didnt stick at all, or dry!
But we had fun doing them.
All of mine were by far the cutest ones,
Jerricas were probably apples that would get voted "most ugly",
but she did make her big bee hive mess balls a little cuter with some white chocolate!!!

Just kidding Jerr, kinda!!!!

We for sure learned to never make candied apples, unless of course you would like to rip all of your teeth out!
And we learned to never let mom read the recipe, cause for some reason she just tells you what she would do,
instead of what the recipe says to do!

I didnt even get a picture of Jerrica's cause i didnt want to have a eye sore by my cute ones, so to see hers you will have to click HERE!!!

Jerrica comes to visit

Joey had to go to training so Jerrica ( who has more pictures on her blog, cause i dont know why i didnt take many! ) decided that she would come home for the week! It was her first trip with the baby and i think she knows now why i never come and see her, babies just add way to much hardness to a trip!!

But we were glad she decided to come, cause we missed her and we really missed the baby!

She stayed here at my house for alot of the trip and we loved having her here!! I got to hold the baby and love her and we got to see alot of the family that came to meet baby Khole!

She got here Thursday night and Friday we just hung out, it was Jakells birthday so we had Scoop for lunch!

Saturday my dad came down and he really wanted a picture with all the grand kids! Do you know how hard it is to make 4 kids look at the camera!?!
Good thing they are all so cute!
After 13 pictures i got this one with all the kids at least looking in the direction of the camera and that was good enough!!

We also went up to the Fall Fiesta for the best tamales you can find! Other than that we just hung out and talked all day, I had to go to a baby shower so i left them to fen for themselves for awhile, but they made do, haha!!

Grace was really excited to see Jerrica and Khole, she talked about it for a week before they got here!
She let Jerrica have her bedroom, but she really thought that they should sleep in the twin bed together, good thing that never happened or i dont know if Jerrica would have ever stayed with us again!

With all 5 of the grandchildren here, things were pretty crazy and loud and crying and nonstop talking and nonstop running and pure chaos!

Someone was always into something or acting like a crazy person or putting on crazy things, like Addison who has on Graces shoes, took her skirt off, and play glasses eating Boo Berries!

On Sunday, Grandma Merri, Grandma Helen, Grandma Sharon, Grandpa Joe, and Aunt Terrie all came for the day!!!
It was so much fun to see everyone, even if when Jerrica and Terrie get together they are super bitty hoe bags to me, I love them both anyways!

We ate, and we ate, and we ate, and we drank Pepsi, and talked and laughed!!

About half way into this trip Jerrica got some horrible flu and was sick for the last half of the days here!
But we still managed to have alot of fun!

Alaynna, LOVED, Khole!
She would just look at her, and touch her face, and shove her binky into her mouth!
Every time Jerrica would put her somewhere Alaynna could touch her she would just run so she could see her!
Alaynna loves baby dolls, so i think she just thought that she was a baby doll that could move, it was so cute to watch.

All the kids loved baby Khole, but Alaynna really loved her!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, my mom came over and we chased Kyle out of the house so we could be our crazy loud selves and he wouldnt have to deal with us.

We didnt really have to kick him out, he left voluntarily

On Wednesday we made caramel apples, and well they deserved a whole post for themselves!! But we had fun making the, just like we have fun whenever we do something competitive!

It was so great to see Jerrica and the baby, I cant wait to see them again!
I miss them, (even Joey), and really wish they would just move in with us,
ok, not move in with us, just move to Overton in there own home close to us, haha!!!

My Girls

Grace-Lynn Leavitt

Grace is in Pre-School and is learning so much. She can write and recognize her name, the numbers 0 1 2 3 4 5 and the quite a few different letters. She also always comes home with art projects and new songs that she teaches to me and the twins! Her favorite thing to do at school is play on the computers, and play outside with her friends.
She has made alot of new friends,  here are the ones i hear the most about when she comes home.
Allie, whos real name is Alison and she has long black hair not like the other Allie that has blond hair like Graces! Everyday i drop her off and Allie comes running, yelling "Grace, Grace" and then they hold hands and run and play.
Sapphire has black hair and she taught Grace how to do the crab walk.
Lee, who is going to be a skeleton, shoots a gun with his hands and that is a mean thing to do!
Russell talks in Spanish and taught her how to say hola!
Tacoma has black hair and she plays cars with Grace!
Joey also likes to play cars with Tacoma and Grace.
Charity and Grace like to play in the kitchen together.
Then there is Conner.
Everyday, I mean everyday we have a story about Conner.
Conner is a boy, that has blond hair like Graces, and he is not her boyfriend and if you say he is she gets real mad, he is just her friend. He jumps on one foot, they play fight with lizards from the treasure box, he got a huge pumpkin, his mom drives a red van, and the stories go on and on about Conner!!!!

Although Grace never shuts up and seems to always be running around, she is at a really fun age and i love to hear the things she comes up with!

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

Some days it is hard to have twins, some days it is hard to have kids, for reasons that you dont normally think about.
Questions i ask myself are...
  • Am i making the twins not be individuals
  • Am i comparing them to each other to much
  • Is everyone else comparing them to each other
  • Should i just try and take one to the park, outside, anywhere so that they can have one on one time
  • Am i going to screw them up so they can never be apart
  • Should i dress them alike
  • Do I give them to much attention and leave Grace out
  • Is Grace going to Grow up wondering why the twins get more attention than her
  • What do i say to strangers when they ask me who is the smarter twin
  • How do i refrain from punching strangers in the face, because of the stupid questions they ask
And really the list goes on and on.

Addison Nancy Leavitt

Addison is a holy terror!!
She is always into something and she is the ring leader of most of the terrors my girls go on!
But she can also be the sweetest, loving little girl ever!
Just tonight she went to get herself a blanket and drug 2 in to the living room, one for her and one for Alaynna. She defiantly takes care of her sister.
Alaynna fell and so i was rocking her in the chair and Addison kept coming over patting her back and "talking" to her!!
She is Also a talker, she can just jibber jabber away, I think it might be good when she can talk cause maybe her and Grace can keep each other entertained!

Alaynna Merri Leavitt

Alaynna is shy and quiet, (most of the time)!
She usual sticks pretty close to me and loves to be talked to and read to!
But she is a hair puller!!!! When she doesnt like something or when one of the sisters get in her way, out come the claws and she rips the hair out!
One of my favorite times of the day is bed time! Alaynna starts doing the fish lips to everyone and that means, "i want my goodnight kiss and i want to go to bed!"
She also likes to feed Addison, there is not a meal time that goes by that i dont find Alaynna over on Addisons high chair trying to shove food down her throat.
She is pretty protective of her sister too and when i say "no" to Addison, Alaynna looks right at me and starts to yell jibber jabbers at me!

Although my 3 girls defiantly make me run more than i want to and never let me watch my TV shows or eat a meal in peace,
I love them,
They are my world.

10-10-10

On October 10th, 2010, I turned 24, 21 again!
It was 10-10-10 and that means that only really special people get there birthdays on that cool of a day, you should remember that, I am cool!!

Anyways a few things that have been on my list, (i make lists because kyle seems to think i am hard to buy for.), were...
  • the shark mop
  • a new trash can, the metal ones with the lid that opens when you push the little foot thing
  • new muffin tin
  • a tiramisu cake
Everyone that heard my list thought i was crazy and said i should start making my lists a little more personal with some funner things on it!!

Even though Kyle didnt want to, he got me the Shark Mop, I love it! I have mopped everyday but one since i got it!!
He also took me out for dinner, without kids, and before he left to go hunting he brought home flowers! He is pretty thoughtful, thats one reason i keep him around!!!

My mom found me a tiramisu cake that was delicious and i ate the whole thing by myself. She also brought over 3 muffin tins, a mini, regular, and jumbo, watch out Costco, i am going to be the muffin queen!!

I am always complaining about my closets in this house not having enough shelving so Nancy found me shelf built in's that are both going in my closet!!! Now i just have to talk Kyle into putting them up or i am going to have to hire a handy man to do it! Also a new shirt, I think if it wasnt for Nancy i would probably never have new shirts!!!

Lauren also came over and surprised me with a new purse, I love it also! It is small but big enough to fit a few diapers in so i only have to carry one bag!!!

I got lots of phone calls, texts, and facebook messages that also made my day!!

I complain alot about life, but i shouldnt cause i have a great family and great friends that think of me often!!!
So thanks again to everyone that made my day special!!!!!

the week kyle left....

Kyle comes home today, YEA! Sometimes i forget just how much he does help me when he is home.
This week has been a long one and all the "projects" I hoped to get done, well lets just say i still have alot of "projects" on the to do list.
One good thing about Kyle being gone has been dinner time! It has been Mac and Cheese, French Toast, McDonalds, all the easy stuff that Kyle doesnt really like but is really easy to make!
This is how the twins have decided to eat meals now. They both start in there own highchairs, but then somehow Alaynna always ends up sneaking Addisons food!
I dont know if it is just my twins or all of them out there, but if one has a yellow bowl and the other one has a blue bowl, there is a fight over the bowls 98% of the time! So I have learned it is easier to just start off with the same exact thing and avoid a fight!
Even with all the fighting these two do, they are so cute to each other! One is always trying to feed the other one, or when one gets hurt the other one will pat her back and make sure she is ok.
Right now they are really into holding each others hands, when ever we go outside or sometimes just around the house they will be holding hands!
They are already best friends!!!
Grace-Lynn is learning so much in school, she can write her first name and she has learned the ABC's and can count clear up to 12 and can recognize quite a few letters and numbers! One of her favorite games right now is "teacher". She is the teacher and you are her student and you better listen or she gets mad!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Monday we had a wonderful rain storm, we dont get nice rains here, we get buckets and roads flooded out, but rain is rain and i love it!
I dressed Grace in shorts cause in Overton it wasnt raining, but half way down the valley it started and by the time we got to school it was dumping buckets. Nancy was nice enough to come and get Grace with her umbrella, if she wouldnt have we both would have been sopping wet from the 10 foot walk!
It didnt rain really good at our house till later in the day, but when it came it didnt stop.
After it had slowed down we went outside and played in it.
It has started to cool down so living here isnt that bad this time of year. We can go outside and play in the yard and get out of this house, and getting out of the house makes everyone a lot happier!
Monday night I was up all night with Addison who was throwing up, my favorite kind of sickness. So after being up all night i just was tired and didnt feel that great. But as the day went on i just kept feeling worst and worst till i started throwing up.
This flu is horrible,
every time i would lift my head up i would get dizzy and then end up in the bathroom with my head in the toilet. Laying down all day is not the easiest thing to do when you have 3 kids at home, so i was sick all day chasing kids. But Nancy was good and kept Grace for me after school so at least i only had the two little ones.
The good thing about his horrible flu is that it is the 24 hour flu.
So after 24 hours of not eating or keeping any kind of drink down I felt better and started to eat, drink and function again!
I think that after that flu, the sickness is almost out of our house. Alaynna still had a running nose, but i can deal with that. Everyone is sleeping again so life is good again, just no more sickness of any kind, especially the throw up kind can come into my home!
So if you are sick,
stay away,
thanks!
The rest of our week has been pretty boring, we are now just waiting for Kyle to get home and entertain us!!!
