The Creek!

The girls like to play in the creek up the mountain, where the water is freezing!
Its a good thing that it was so warm in Marysvale!
Every time we play here, I always think there's bears watching us!

Monroe Mountain

We love Monroe Mountain, any one who knows anything about me, knows I want my ashes scattered in Barney Lake.
We try and get up there at least once a summer.

We braved it and went up the 25th, one of our favorite places to picnic was opened and so we stopped and played all day there!
The girls made houses in the trees, pushed down dead trees, played hide and go seek, found bugs, screamed like little girls, and got SO dirty!!!

There is a nasty catch pond up there.
We walked over to see if there was any frogs, then Kyle mentioned, being funny, they should get in!
The next thing we knew Addison and Alaynna were saying, "if you do, I will." and stripping off their clothes!
Addison really did swim to the middle then started to get cold so Kyle made her come back so he wouldn't have to jump in to save her!

We couldn't believe they got in, but those 2 are pretty brave and talk each other into doing all kinds of things they shouldn't!

We took dinner up there, hobo dinners and hot dogs!
The hobo dinners were some of the best we have made, kielbasa sausage, squash from the garden, carrots, potatoes, and onions! The only thing that was missing was mushrooms!

We had such a great day up there, it was probably one of the funnest days this summer!

24th of July

I love the 24th of July in Marysvale, I have missed one in my whole life.
The girls love it as much as I do!
My Mom, Steve, Nancy, Penn, Ron and Joyce all were there so we got to see lots of family!

After Terrie and I took as much candy as we could at the parade, we made our way down to the park.
I talked to everyone I grew up with and Kyle stood in the shade!
The girls played a couple games and went on the bounce houses, then we went back to the trailer for lunch! We hung out there till the fish rodeo, the best art of the 24th!

The girls had so much fun, Alaynna threw every fish she got at me, they splashed and touched the nasty fish! We didn't bring back any fish cause they are nasty!

The 24th was great this year, we had so much fun!

Cedar Mountain 4th of July

We decided we would go to Cedar Mountain and Brain Head for the 4th this year.
We love the firework show that Brain Head puts on, it is worth going and freezing!

Kyle and the twins went to Marysvale to get the trailer Wednesday night. Grace, Josie, and I met them up the mountain Thursday morning.
From home to the trailer the temperature dropped 50*! We changed from our shorts into pants and jackets and didnt change back till we got home!

Ross and Wes met us up there for the weekend and I am so glad they did. We had alot of fun talking, laughing, and eating!

The girls love being up the mountain, they gathered wild flowers and butterfly's for hours!
Kyle picked out a really great place to camp, there was no one around us, almost to the end of a dead end road, and behind us was an amazing meadow!

Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt got up there and had kites.
That kept the girls, Kyle, and Ross busy for a couple hours!

Luke and Sierra pulled there little treailer up for the weekend too.
Kaden, Laura, The girls, Vance, Teisha, and baby June rode up for a couple hours and had an amazing dinner with us!
Kyle took all the girls for a little ride on the 4-wheeler!

The guys played a game of extreme badminton and I wondered if they were going to have a heart attack from the difference elevation!
All of us desert rats couldn't go for a walk without getting out of breath and we all had head aches!

We decided to go for a ride up to a lookout.
When we went for a little walk, we found a cute horny toad. I think we all wanted to take it home!
Once we got to the lookout, there was a downpour!!!!!
We all hid in the truck till it calmed down a little!  But it rained and rained, it was the perfect time for a nap!

This year we went up to Brain Head a little earlier and walked around.
Penn chased down some people for cotton candy and glow necklaces!
We got a great spot to watch the fireworks, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a heater!

The fireworks didnt disappoint, They are a close 2nd to Disneyland!

We had a great time, with great people, and great food!!! I cant wait for next year!
