Gardening and Summer!

Kyles summer garden is about dead, but we got lots from it!
So many onions, little ones, but delicious.
Mammoth Sunflowers.
So many jalapenos.
And, I have so many pickles, SO MANY!!!!

We have had a great summer, sleeping in, going on vacation, staying in PJ's, and swimming!
Even though we have loved summer, I think we are ready for school to start and to get back into a good schedule!

Grace's Favorite thing we did was.... Her birthday week, everything about it!

Addison's was.... Her vacation with Grandma Nancy.

Alaynna's was... Swimming at Grandma Merri's pool.

catch up

The weather has been perfect here so we have been outside enjoying it as much as we can.
Since it has been so warm, we decided to start the garden. Hopefully we get lots of tomatoes this year!

Ginger, my broody hen, got her wish to be a mom! Amanda gave me some fertilized eggs and after 20 days, 5 out of 5 leghorns hatched! They have been so fun to watch run around the backyard.

We have also been sick here at this house. The twins had a stomach virus and it was not fun! They puked, had high fevers, and didnt get off the couch for 3 days.

Grace did not catch the bug and since she is my hardest one while sick, I am happy she didnt get it! Over the long presidents day weekend she tried to build a fort, but then gave up and just jumped on the trampoline and said that was her fort!

There really hasnt been alot going on here at the Leavitt home, I watch chickens and listen to little girls, I couldnt be happier!

Stuff

Ya, I am a crazy chicken lady. I love my chickens and someday will love my goats and bees!

I finally was feeling better after my doctors appointment last week,  one day in there drains me, so I got some of my pomegranate juice out!
We have sweet and sour bushes here at this house, and so the juice isn't super dark red, but it still made some beautiful, dark, and delicious jelly! I got a batch of jalapeno, that tastes amazing over cream cheese with wheat thins and a batch of plain pomegranate!
Maybe this week I'll do another batch!

Ginger has decided she is going to hatch some chicks, but we don't have a rooster, so shes just sitting there. We thought she would figure it out on her own, but she hasn't, so today I am on chicken duty, mostly just kicking her out of the coop!
But I kinda understand her, there for a couple of years I was brooding too, all I wanted was a baby, but Kyle just kept kicking me out of the coop!!!

Other than chicken duty, we have been getting the garden ready! Kyle and the girls got peas, spinach, and chard in the ground. and we got our tomato place all ready!

Since we only got a week of cold weather, Kyles trapping hasn't been great. But the girls still go with him and love every minute of it! They mostly run wild, get dirty, and throw rocks!

We've been keeping it pretty boring here at this house, and that's just the way we like it!!

Spring!

This weekend was so nice outside!
We spent the whole time out in the back yard!

Kyle decided to plant us a little garden, he really missed not having a winter garden.
We've got some squash, cucumbers, watermelons, tomatoes, beans, peas, carrots, and radishes!
Hopefully we get enough tomatoes to at least do one batch of spaghetti sauce and salsa!

When the weekend come, my children look like little rag-a-muffins!

Lady bugs and the Garden

We get lady bugs every year, I had to make a few St.George trips so this last one Me and Grace picked us up some!

We let them go in Kyles garden, He has 60 tomato plants out there.

That is a crap ton of tomatoes, but I am excited about it right now cause we miss our spaghetti sauce and salsa!

He's also got radishes, that Alaynna eats as fast as they grow! Turnips that arent growing! Carrots that also arent growing! And peas, lots of peas!

He also planted squash, and the ants keep eating them!

It is spring break and we have played outside as much as we can! Grace sleeps in till 8 or today 9 and takes her time getting going, she has enjoyed it and me and the little girls have really enjoyed her being home with us!

Back to the lady bugs, I am scattered and so is this blog post, the girls let them crawl all over them and I am sure a couple dozen will get killed, the twins aren't real soft!

Not a whole lot has been going on here, we play outside and I have slowly been packing up our stuff for our big move!

I have had to stay off the internet more than usual cause people irritate me! I am for real not a people person, I am not sociable in the least and so I probably should stay off social networks, why are people so dumb!?!?

One thing I will say is there is a separation of church and state for a reason, so why do people need to bring up what their church thinks about marriage equality?? If you feel the same as your church, good for you, but what happened to people thinking for themselves, I thought that is why Jesus died for us, so we could all have our own agency?

There is my 2 cents, I have alot more where that came from but I have ran out of pictures of my cute kids!!

The next post I do will be showing off our cute new home, for the next few years!
