swimming and ice cream

The other day Grace came out of her room with the twins following her and she told me they were ready to get there pictures taken!!!!
She loves to dress the girls up and the girls love it when she is nice and dresses them up in crazy outfits!!!

Grace passed her swimming lessons!!!!! I told her that if she would get her head all the way in the water i would take her to buy a ice cream, any kind she wanted!!!!

So she dunked her head in a few times and even jumped off the diving board!!!

After dinner we went up to scoop, just her and I, and she got a scoop of bubble gum, a scoop of superman, and a scoop of cake batter! I told the girl, "really little scoops please!!!

She thought it was so fun that she got to have 3 different kinds, and she really wanted to go home to show the twins what she had got!!!

They love ice cream as much as Grace and had fun getting it everywhere!!!

I was so proud of how great Grace has done at swimming lessons, I sink like a rock and Grace is just a little fish!!!

Camping

So, hunting at this house starts with scouting. Scouting is when you go look for the animal that you will be hunting to see what is there and how big the animals are, even if the hunt starts in about 4 months, it is still important!!
With that in mind Kyle decided that we were going to go camping, in the tent, with all of our children, to go scout for my elk!!!

So we loaded up all of our crap, and went on a 4 hour drive into the middle of no where!!

As we were on our way out of town with Josie in the back of the truck the temperature was over 100*, Kyle and I were worried about her getting to hot, But Grace was more worried she was hungry. Grace was really hoping that a rabbit would hop into the back of the truck just in case Josie got hungry she could eat it!!!!
She is so crazy!!!!

While on this 4 hour drive into the middle of Nevada, where there is no one and nothing, really nothing to look at, no towns to look forward to, NOTHING, the DVD player broke. At first i thought we were going to die, but after some creative thinking and Grace who talks your ear off we were ok and we all made it!

We got there really late on Friday so we just sat the tent up and went to sleep!

So on Saturday morning we got up, had some breakfast, and then went on a Rhino ride. We put the twins in the car seats in the back and Grace sat up by us, then off we went!

After our bottoms were a little sore from sitting and bumping along the road we went back to camp and played in the dirt and set Graces fishing pole up in the little river behind the tent.

As you can see from the pictures, the girls had fun, they were dirty and in heaven!

There were alot of butterflies so the girls wore themselves out trying to catch them! The butterflies knew they were coming for them cause as soon as the girls were close the butterflies would turn and dive bomb them. It was alot of fun to watch!

Sadly even thought they tried really hard, all day, they didnt catch one like Grace was really hoping!!

After some lunch, that ended up having more dirt than anything else, we made things out if the long grass that was beside our tent!

Grace kept telling me she was making a walking stick, I had no idea what she was talking about till she made something that looked alot like a praying mantis, then it clicked!!!! I have no idea how she knows what a walking stick bug is, but she really wants one!

By the time we made everything you can think of out of grass, the twins were in need of a nap so we loaded back into the rhino and went on our way!

Just riding around looking at things is not the funnest thing for Grace so we had to get out and take a few walks to pick flowers to keep Grace entertained!!

Going for short little walks to look for flowers, birds, bugs, anything, was a big hit! All 3 of the girls more ran than walked!!

When we got back from our walk we decided to get dinner going, and the girls were just running around playing the grass when we hear Grace start yelling, DAD, i caught one, hurry dad, i need help, run, dad, run!!!!!

The little stinker snuck away to see if her worm was ok, but when we all came running we found her holding up her fish!!!

He was a little small so we were going to throw him back, but by the time kyle got the hook unstuck he just wouldnt swim. Grace was so happy she was going to have fish for dinner!!!

The twins both wanted there turn playing with the dead fish so Grace let them pet him but not hold him!! I sure do a few tomboys on my hands!!

After all the girls had fish all over there hands we went back to making dinner, they all got to butter the corn and they thought that was the coolest thing that ever happened. (I did mark the fishy corn from my own)

After dinner we thought we would get one more ride in cause Kyle was really hoping we would see some kind of animal with horns, but after getting 25 or so mile away from anyone or the truck the rhino shut off and didnt start back up for a few minutes. So I made him turn around cause i really didnt want to be stranded with 3 kids!!!

After going back and trying to make smores, (Grace doesnt like her marshmallows hot, Alaynna doesnt like marshmallows, and the chocolate is to messy for Addison, but  I ate 3 or 4 by myself) , we got every down to their underwear and threw them in the tent and tried to clean them up, it didnt really work the dirt was stuck to them!!

We had so much fun and even if we were all super dirty it was worth it, I cant wait to do it again!!!

I always feel like that, till we come home and I have 6 loads of laundry, a batch of tomatoes waiting to be done, onions to be froze, and carrots that need to have something done to them!!

It took 3 days, but i did catch up on everything, and now I think that it was fun enough i would go back soon!!!
But now it is late and this post is starting to sound like jibberish, maybe because i started this last night but my children have not been the nicest today so it took me ALL DAY to get done. So i am tired and for some reason my children dont sleep in so...
off to bed I go!!!!!

I'm Back

I am back........
I have been sick, not pregnancy sickness to all of you out there who think that, (steph!!) I have had a bacterial infection of the bowels, (doesnt that sound pleasant!) which i got from taking antibiotics for a kidney infection!!! Ya, I was pretty much on my death bed this past week but i am up and feeling better, I just have to get off the new antibiotics so i wont be as dizzy as i am!!!

Anyways, with me not feeling great we haven't been doing alot at this Leavitt house!

School is out so we have been enjoying the hot mornings by going swimming in our little pool and not getting dressed till noon, It has been great!!

We have made another batch of salsa and a batch of spaghetti sauce, I pretty much hate the smell of tomatoes now!!

We have been shooting the muzzle loader getting ready for my elk hunt in October and I have a huge bruise from where it kicks me!

The kids are still little monsters, Grace NEVER stops talking, really she never stops and she asks about 1.5 million questions a day!

I got a new job title at the Leavitt home, I am now a full time referee, the twins fight over everything and Grace helps out by taking the thing they want, locking them out of her room, yelling, anything she can do to be mean!!

The twins are also trying really hard to give up there nap and I am trying really hard to make them keep the nap, otherwise I go nuts!!!

Today Grace starts swimming lesson, she is a little excited and a little scared, she really wants to jump off the diving board!!

Have you ever heard of Pinterest? If not go check it out, it is the most wonderful way to organize all the cool stuff you find from blogs, websites, everywhere and everything! I love it!!!

As you can tell from my randomness and random pictures, there has just not been a lot going on here at our home, maybe the next post will be a little more entertaining!!!

SICKNESS

I have been sick for the last little while so Kyle stayed home to help me with the girls today, these are a few of the things I have heard...

"The girls want to watch strawberry shortcake on the wii how do you turn it on?"
"The Internet is not working, what box is the wireless one?" (We go over this one at least once a week)

"I think I will make pancakes for lunch, the girls will eat those right?"
"So is pancake mix suppose to be the consistency of cement?"
"Do you think i need to turn the heat down, this one is almost black but still doughy inside?"

After Kyle made scrambled eggs for dinner, Grace wanted more and I had got up to get a drink of water, Grace say, "Hey your up why don't you just make me some more eggs? Please?!"

And the very best thing, "Holy crap didn't I just clean this house up, it is already a mess again?!"

Yes Kyle, welcome to my life!!!!
I am lucky that he felt bad enough for me to stay home from work and let me lay in bed all day, I knew I loved him for a reason!!!

Now back to bed with some crackers!

Cedar for a day

We had big plans of taking the trailer up the mountain this last weekend, Kyle took a extra day off work and all of us girls were pretty excited to get out of the house for a few days and roll in the dirt. As the weekend got closer and the temperature here was perfect we decided that there was probably to much snow up in the mountains and we would freeze so we just rode up to cedar for the day!

Since Penn is working up there and had meetings in SLC, Nancy decided that she would spend the weekend there, so we got to spend the day with them!

After eating at Top Spot we decided to go to the "discovery park" up on the hill and it was pretty cool! When the twins were just newborns and we were going up to Marysvale for Kyles bear hunt every weekend, we had stopped there so I could feed the twins and Grace played out on it and has talked about since then!

Also when Grace went and spent the night at Kaden and Lauras, they took her up there, So Grace was a PRO and knew all the places to go!!!

It was fun to play on and go through the tunnel and pathway things, down the slides and play in the sand. There was a bridge that you didnt realized it moved till it was to late and when I stepped on it I might have slipped and fell on my butt!

The girls just ran and ran and ran, they were in heaven!

The girls were a little scared to go down the slide so Grandma Nancy showed them how to do it, but she is a little bigger than the normal slide goer downer and rug burned her elbows!

Grace and Grandpa even found some dinosaur bones!

Addison and Grace found a phone thing and talked on it for a minute!

Alaynna just really liked to run around!

I was trying to get a picture of all the girls in this little hole but no one was really cooperating so I didnt get one of Grace the the twins are blurry, that shows how much fun they were all having!

I tried to get a picture of Kyle, but anytime I aim the the camera at him he turns!

We also had to try out the tire swing!

Vance even got on for a minute!

Before we left Grace had to have Kyle help her climb the wall!

We decided to go check out this little pond that is across the street. The girls were running up and down and would get a little further in the water every time, Nancy said someone was going to fall in and I told Kyle he was the one that would be jumping in to save them.

Then Addison fell in!!!

We rode up on top of cedar mountain and there was still like 3 feet of snow and water everywhere!

After seeing how much snow there was and feeling how cold it was I am so glad that we only rode up for the day, there would be NO WAY That i would have even thought about staying up there in the freezingness!!

Maybe for the 4th of July we will pull the trailer somewhere, but we will see, maybe this year we wont even make it up on the mountain!
Hopefully this snow melts, but not too fast!
