Kyle was on call and Leighton was blessed on Sunday so we couldnt leave till Monday morning.
It took all day to get up the mountain and then as we were driving up we seen the huge smoke clouds over Cedar Mountain!
Luckily I have a fire insider, (Terrie gave me all the latest info and even talked fire talk to me, haha) who updated me and told me the fire was on the other side of the mountain. We didnt have smoke or ash around us, but holy cow we could see the smoke for sure!
Since we got up there in the middle of the day we didnt have alot to do so we went for a ride!
We seen alot of groundhogs, if I could catch one and tame it, I would! A groundhog and sloth would be my ideal pets!
We seen the smoke, all of that was smoke, not clouds!
We went to the lookout and seen Yankee Meadows and decided we would go fishing there the next day!
We seen lots of deer, nothing big just little guys, mamas and babies!
It was a good ride and a fun day, but we were really excited to see the moon and darkness so we could go to sleep!
