Catch up

It has been awhile since i last posted,
my computer got a virus and was at the computer doctor for a few days,
i have been busy making cakes,
theses cakes........

And my crazy kids and i have had a nasty cold!

Now if we could just get the cold out of our home, life would be super swell again!

We havent been up to much of anything beside the every day stuff and the bathroom/laundry room project!

So I have no cool stories, just pictures and the few things that have been happening around the house!

Jakell, went swimming, got baptized awhile ago, she is probably going to kill me when she see's I put this picture up but Kyle told me to do it anyways!

We told Grace we were going to watch Jakell swim, she was a little disappointed when all they did was dunk her in!

Grace went to Abby's birthday party and it was pretty much the highlight of her week! They made cookies and she thought hers looked pretty great, one was for me and the other one was for her to share with the twins!

We also had a neighborhood play date! It was pretty fun there were a ton of kids and they just ran,

Played with sand,
Jumped on the trampoline,

and ate cookies!
Next time we will have to coordinate better and have snacks and the whole thing!

Grace has been spending alot of time in time out lately. Wow, she is at a hard age or maybe just at a hard stage, i dont know, but it is hard!!!
She has been being so mean to the twins, she "on accident" bit Addison while trying to kiss her and "on accident" pinched Alaynna while trying to hug her.

She catches on to everything to, you cant say or do anything without her noticing!
I was having a bad day and must have been snappy because i had been asked 2.4 million questions in a 3 hour time frame, so on the way to taking her to school, she asked me,
" Why do you have a mean voice today mom? It is kinda sad, but kinda mad sounding, why is it like that?"
 Then i just started to laugh and told her i would try and find my happy voice and after silence for 2 hours and a little nap i found a happier voice!

The weather is so wonderful right now that we had to go play outside for a minute before we went to pick up Grace!
All my girls love it outside, they really love to throw sand around and get all dirty!

It was cooler outside and it was even really cold there for a few days, so it has kinda messed up our Garden!

But we cut the broccoli down so hopefully it will start doing good and here in a few weeks we really are going to have a million peas, I am quite excited!

Grandma Helen sent down late Christmas presents, when the girls opened them you would have thought it was a million dollars, they scrame and yelled and laughed and was just as happy as 3 little girls could be!

They have wore there princess hill pretty much since they opened them, now all you hear is the clank clank of hill running around the house!

Thats it from this Leavitt home, we got the tile all done and the washer and dryer moved back in and Kyle even got the vanity in the bathroom today while i was out grocery shopping!
I will be posting picture of that, cause i am pretty happy over having a floor in the bathroom after 3 years!!!!!!!

oh the places you'll go

When i graduated from high school my mom and dad gave me this book, i am sure you have all read it at one time or another, Oh The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss.
I got asked to make a cake, her theme is Dr Seuss, she sent me a picture of a cake that was after the book and I fell in love with it, i dont know why but i loved it.

I decided to get the book out and read it, and i cried,
I dont cry,
especially over a childrens book,
While i was crying i kept thinking "what is wrong with you, why are you crying, you dont cry!"
but i just kept crying.

Have you ever read the words? It is a true story, and i am afraid i am at "the waiting place",
the most useless place,
I fill like my whole life is just waiting, waiting for my kids to not be sick, waiting to loss those 10 pounds, waiting till i have more time, waiting till have i have more money, I just wait.

But I know that after all my waiting is done,
i will move on and
"I will succeed, Yes! I will, indeed!
(98 and 3 / 4 percent guaranteed.)"
Except when I don' t
Because, sometimes,
I won't.

     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 If you havent read this book, I think you should, so here you go..........
Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.
You'll look up and down streets. Look 'em over with care.
About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there."
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you're too smart to go down any not-so-good street.
And you may not find any
you'll want to go down.
In that case, of course,
you'll head straight out of town.
It's opener there
in the wide open air.
Out there things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.
And when things start to happen,
don't worry. Don't stew.
Just go right along.
You'll start happening too.
OH!
THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
You'll be on your way up!
You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers
who soar to high heights.
You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don' t
Because, sometimes, you won't.
I'm sorry to say so
but, sadly, it's true
and Hang-ups
can happen to you.
You can get all hung up
in a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on.
You'll be left in a Lurch.
You'll come down from the Lurch
with an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then,
that you'll be in a Slump.
And when you're in a Slump,
you're not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself
is not easily done.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both you elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And IF you go in, should you turn left or right...
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find,
for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
You can get so confused
that you'll start in to race
down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
and grind on for miles across weirdish wild space,
headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place...
...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a sting of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.
NO!
That's not for you!
Somehow you'll escape
all that waiting and staying.
You'll find the bright places
where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping,
once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you're that kind of a guy!
Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. there are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball
will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You'll be famous as famous can be,
with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.
Except when they don't.
Because, sometimes, they won't.
I'm afraid that some times
you'll play lonely games too.
Games you can't win
'cause you'll play against you.
All Alone!
Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something
you'll be quite a lot.
And when you're alone, there's a very good chance
you'll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
that can scare you so much you won't want to go on.
But on you will go
though the weather be foul
On you will go
though your enemies prowl
On you will go
though the Hakken-Kraks howl
Onward up many
a frightening creek,
though your arms may get sore
and your sneakers may leak.
On and on you will hike
and I know you'll hike far
and face up to your problems
whatever they are.
You'll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You'll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life's
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3 / 4 percent guaranteed.)
KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!
So...
be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray
or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Shea,
you're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!
This week has been a hard one, I think it has just been trying to get back into the groove of things again, schedules, school, life without holidays!
We also only have one bathroom that is usable right now, and i am not complaining, because it is going to be beautiful when it is done!
Right now all we have done is tore everything out, (except the tub), we did get it painted yellow, and we put a new light up, last but not least put down the cement board so someday soon we can tile it!
This weekend we hope to repaint to bathtub/shower and get the cement board down in the laundry room!
I really cant wait to have this bathroom done and pretty again! Now i just have to find some cute stuff to decorate with and i will be good for awhile!
Before,
there will be lots of after pictures coming soon!
There hasn't been alot going on here at the Leavitt home, just kids making messes and me going behind them cleaning them up!
The gate came down that makes it so my children cant get into the drawers and cupboards that hold all my junk, so they have had alot of fun finding new treasures!
They really enjoy building houses out of the toilet paper and paper towels, also they have broke a few vases, and i have no stamps or envelopes left!!
These two get into alot of trouble together, good thing they are cute or i might have to beat them somedays!!
Grace has enjoyed going back to school and i have enjoyed the almost 2 hour break i get!
Christmas, (picture overload!)
I have taken a little blog break due to sickness, family, Christmas, laziness, more family, and the ripping up of the bathroom!
But i am back and ready to update!
This Christmas i had a hard time getting into the spirit, I dont know why, but it was just a hard one! I stress myself out trying to do everything and make everyone happy, and so sometime i have a hard time looking forward to the holidays!
But once Christmas eve came i got excited cause my little monsters were crazy!
They had so much fun visiting everyone and having everyone over at the house, eating treats, presents, decorations, santa, they loved everything about Christmas and just were bouncing off the walls crazy!
It was so fun!
I made these yummy truffles for some of my neighbors, (and mostly just for myself) I did, chocolate chip cookie dough, oreo, and brownie, they were easy and Grace had lots of fun delivering them with me!
Christmas eve we had my mom, Jerrica, Khole, Trueitt, and Jakell over for dinner! But Jerrica, Khole, Trueitt and Jakell all got the stomach flu we had!
First Grace got it, 24 hours later Alaynna got it, 12 hours after that Addison got it, 24 hours later I got it, and then while Jerrica was here, Kyle got it and gave it to her!!!!
Back to Dinner....
We had a yummy honey ham that Me, Kyle, The girls, and my mom ate in front of all the sicklings!!!!
Also all day we had a elf that was running around making sure that Grace was being good so Santa could still come and visit! My mom and Jerrica seen him running around, and they even seen him take a bite out of the truffles on the counter
(maybe that had something to do with why my children were bouncing off the walls with excitement!)
We made some Reindeer food and went and sprinkled it all over the back lawn!
Grace had to put it in 9 circles so that each one would have some, i think she has a obsessive compulsive gene that had to have came from Kyle!
Trueitt had alot of fun playing with Kyle outside, he pretty much just ran and was a little monster!
This is Grace showing me where the elf took a bite!
And this is elf footprints, that were in green chocolate!!!
Poor Alaynna looks kinda haggard, but we had no naps, so we were all a little haggard!
The kids at the "kid table" waiting for some food!
Grandma Merri was dancing with the kids, she likes to do the cupid shuffle with them and they all can do it!
We got to open the traditional Pj's! Grace was really excited, the girls just kinda tore some paper and they thought the paper was cooler than the actual Pj's!
Little Khole didnt really know what was going on, but she sure is cute!
Christmas morning Me and Kyle were up, showered, and waiting for our kids to wake up! When the twins woke up we decided to go get Grace! She is not a morning person in the least, so she said she was still tired and wanted to sleep. But after we told her Santa had came she was wide awake!
Santa brought the twins leap frog Puppy Pals and strollers, he should have wrapped them up, because they didnt open up hardly any other presents cause they were racing around the house with them!
The strollers make great catch alls, they love to put everything they can find in them and then push away!
It took along time to get all of the presents opened, cause we had to look at everything and try it out!
They loved everything and it was so fun to watch them!
Grace got a doll house and a tinker bell comforter!
She was for sure it was a pillow!
They also got some play food for the kitchen,
And Grace got a Tinkerbell tea set, as you can see she loved it!
Really, loved it!
This is pretty much how the house had looked since Christmas, toys everywhere and happy kids playing!
When Grace went to see if the Reindeer had ate the food she sat out, Me and Kyle noticed Santa had left something else for the girls, but Grace didnt notice it till we made her look!!!
She turned to us and said "what the?" Then asked if she could go jump in it!
After we got done talking to Luke, opening up more presents from Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Penn, like a memory foam mattress cover for our rock hard bed, (ya we were spoiled) little bee cars for the twins, and a walk the dog barbie with a dog that really poops, (for real, haha), we headed down to Great grandma and Grandpa Leavitts house for some more family time and lunch!
We didnt stay for long cause my Mom, Dad, Jerrica, Jakell, Khole, and Trueitt all came over and it looked like santa had came again!
I think that the biggest hit was the trampoline and yes notice that we dont even have jackets on cause it was so warm. The kids were out there for along time running around wearing themselves out!
My dad even got on there and did a back flip and didnt break anything!!!
Grandma Merri and Grace played with her new model that you can do her hair, but for some reason Grace ended up with all the crazy stuff in her own hair!!
We had such a great Christmas and I didnt even mind that there was no snow or freezingness
I loved that we got to see pretty much all the family and the kids were nice even without naps!!
I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas as much as we did, now i am off to "help" Kyle with the bathroom project we have started finally!!!!!!
