The Garden and Grace

Grace got a bow for Christmas, Kyle was excited to teach her how to shoot it!
He really is trying to making sure that the girls have a hobby to do with him as they get older, I love that about him, he definitely loves his kids!

Grace didnt really know how to aim, but i think with a little practice she will be just fine!

She would shoot and then the twins would run and get her arrows for her!

While we were out there we picked some broccoli!!
When the girls are out there playing and get hungry they just pick some broccoli or what ever we have planted, and keep playing!!!

We just got our carrots and radishes in the ground this last weekend, they are some of our favorites!!

Red Rock

Over Christmas break we did alot of fun things, one of them was go out to Red Rock and play in the sand!

Sand is like snow here in the desert, you can make a sand angel, throw it, (then get in trouble), and roll around it and get all sandy!
The girls love it!

It was kinda cold out, you know in the 40's, but really that is cold!
We bundled up in our winter coats and took the 4 runner out to see if we could get stuck!

We had alot of fun climbing on rocks and exploring!!

snow day!

Since we only get snow by the truck load here, we decided that we needed to go play in the real snow.

We had planned on going to Marysvale, but then stuff happened and we only made it as far as cedar.

We just decided to sled down the big hill by Cal Ranch instead of  going out in the hills!

After lunch at top spot, and buying a few sleds, we got all bundled up and went sledding!

The girls had so much fun, the twins made Kyle go down with them alot and pull them back up!

Grace was pretty brave and went down by herself!

After shopping at Cal Ranch and dropping off Vances truck, we went for a little ride. At first it was to look for deer, but then Kyle remembered that he forgot his binos. So the twins took a nap and Grace got out and we tied a rope to the truck and we pulled her behind it for awhile.
We stopped a few times to ask her if she was cold and she just kept wanting to go for longer! She was sledding for about 20 minutes and probably 10 miles!
She had so much fun!

It was freezing and I dont miss the Utah winters even a little!

Christmas Morning

My girls are not morning people, they get that from both of us but mostly me!

You would think that with it being Christmas they would be up so early, but every year we have to wake them up!
Usually I get up, shower, and get ready then we wake them up, but this year I didnt do the shower cause I didnt have to be down to Nancys to talk to a missionary! They are all home, yea for that!

We woke up and were down stairs by about 6:30!

Santa found us and he brought suitcases full of presents!

This year Santa brought clothes, movies, books, and Leap Pads!

The girls love to play on my phone and my computer, so these leap pads have been a great toy! I have had to take them away every night and they go threw battery's like crazy!

After we opened all of Santa's presents, we moved on to the rest! Nancy and Penn went crazy this year, but we had fun opening everything up!

I got a wonderful label maker, a keiger coffee pot with lots of tea, a pasta maker for my kitchen aid, and all kinds of great things.
The girls got clothes, and toys!
Grace got piano lessons and she is SO excited to start!
Kyle got a CB radio and a real radio for his 4-runner, he picks out pretty much everything he gets, so he is boring!

One thing that I really hope I can teach my girls would be to be grateful for anything that anyone gives them.
To be thought of by someone is a blessing, I hope my children are never spoiled acting and appreciate everything they have.
Alot of people, especially girls, out there think that they need this name brand thing or that jewelry because it is what is in or just because it was expensive, when in the real world it doesnt matter, even a little bit, in fact it just makes you look like a spoiled brat when thats all you want.
Christmas is a time to be grateful and to be with family, I hope my girls learn that.

Now off my soap box and back the Christmas....

After all the presents were opened, we ate some monkey bread and french toast casserole!

The rest of the day was spent playing with all of the cool new gifts that we received, eating, and just hanging out!
We went down to have lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Leavitts house.
It was nice to see everyone that cold make it, and the ham was delicious!

Overall we had a wonderful Christmas and I am happy that it is over!!!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas was hard this year, it is always hard when I dont get to see my family. This year was the first year I didnt get to see anyone at all in my family, it sucked!
Little Owen also had a bad day and ended up back in the hospital, I wish I could have been with Jerrica to help her. Even thought I really am no help to her!!

To make myself feel better we had a mini Christmas on Christmas Eve and opened up presents from my mom, my dad, and my Grandma and Grandpa!

First the girls opened up this awesome Daniel Boone hats from my Grandma, the twins wore them all day and Addison even slept in hers! They thought they were pretty cool!

The girls got a few outfits, jackets, and some toys. They are pretty spoiled!!
A few of their favorites were, the little vests that my dad gave them, the jackets my mom gave them, the dolls my dad gave them, and the ponys that my mom gave them.
Graces favorite thing was the Bratzilla doll that my mom gave her. It is the ugliest thing i have ever seen, but she liked it so I guess thats what matters!

We watched alot of Christmas movies and just hung out.
All of Kyles brothers and their familys were here.
We decided that we would build some Ginger bread house, Me and Kyles house was the best, we have talent!
Also all of the brothers are really competitive! It was fun being able to spend some time with everyone here, all of us being under the same roof probably wont happen again so it was nice that we at least got to do it once!

After the ginger bread house were made and dinner was done we watched Brave! It was such a cute show, we loved it!
In the middle of the show Alaynna fell asleep and when we went to put pj's on we seen that Ren the elf had moved and wrapped presents for the girls.
The girls torn them opened and  seen that they were new pj's! Graces were a little small and went up her butt, but they still loved them.

Overall it was a really nice Christmas eve, a little different since it wasnt my own home, but nice, the girls all had fun and really thats what it is all about.

Snow!

Penn brought a big pile of snow home!

We tried really hard to build some snow men, but there wasnt quiet enough snow to make them real big.

We of course threw some snow balls too, the girls thought that was really fun and ran and ran!

This is the girls snow man, he even had a rotten carrot nose and some figs for eyes!

This one was Lukes, I think he as pretty proud of it!

It didn't take long before the snow all melted! It is still pretty warm here, as long as the wind isnt blowing and you stand in the sun!
