24th if July

I think I say it every year, but, the 24th of July (in marysvale) is my favorite holiday. I love the "small town" of it all, I love the little parade where there are more 4wheelers than anything, I love the park games for the kids, I love that it is not 105 *, I love going up the mountain for a ride, and I love that I get to see a lot of the people I grew up with.  I just love it all!

Luckily i have a husband and 3 girls that love it just as much as I do!

Me and the girls left Friday after we got up and packed the car full, I was planning on being out of the house by 10, but we didnt get out till 11:30.

Graces favorite place to eat is at Wendys so we had to stop and eat some chicken nuggets in St. George. Then we had to stop in Cedar for gas and I realized that I need to get out more on my own cause I didnt know how to pump the gas, I guess Kyle does more than I would ever think!

After we got to Marysvale we had to unload the full car, Jerricas wedding is in 2 weeks and I had to bring some stuff down for the wedding! Up and down, up and down those stairs I got a workout, but pretty much everything is here!!

After we hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Gibbs for a minute we went out to Grandma and Grandpa Ciserellas and seen my Dad and all the Cepeks kids. We ate some pizza and talked with Heather and Toni then went to wait for Kyle to get here!

After Kyle got to Marysvale, He set the trailer up for us and after playing for a few more minutes and watching the fireworks, we went to sleep. Ok, The girls fell asleep, Me and Kyle listened to 4-wheeler, dogs, and the noisy neighbors till 2 in the AM.

On Saturday we woke up to watch the big parade, the girls were really excited to catch candy and we got 4 HUGE bags full of candy that we didnt need!

After the parade, we went down to the park. There was alot of sitting and I even stole a little baby to hold while I walked around with the girls, (Taisley). We didnt stay down to the park for long, we were tired and needed to go to Richfield!

We left the girls with Aunt Sherrie who then left them with my Grandma, while we went to richfield to get some food for the week and a cherry fresh lime!

But we had to hurry cause we had to get back in time for the "big fish rodeo". I think this is Kyles favorite part of the 24th. This year they had it blocked off for kids under 6 and it was really nice to not have all those big kids splashing the girls. It was nice, till they started spraying us with the fire truck. Why in the hell, (yes hell, thats how mad I was) they would spray all the little kids is beyond me.

So I had the twins on my hips trying to save them from the fish and the water being sprayed at us. I got a really good workout carrying around that 50 lbs. Kyle and Grace were busy running around chasing the fish! Grace was pretty good this year and was trying really hard to get the fish!

We made it out of there with 2 fish to eat for dinner! While I was trying to get a picture of the girls with the fish Addison decided that she wanted to hold one, right after I snapped the picture it started to move a little and she had a little meltdown, it was pretty funny!

After we got back from the big rodeo, Sherrie made some chicken and stuff, the girls were more excited about the ice cream we ate after dinner! These 3 girls if mine really love the ice cream!!

Kyle and Jayden decided that they were going to shoot their bows out in the field. After they had been out there for a few minutes the bull decided that he wanted to play with them!

After he knocked the target over, they started to throw rocks at him, but he didnt like that much so threw the target up in the air and broke the arrows that were in it!

After all the excitement of watching the bull throw the target around like it was nothing, they came back in from the field and we had the girls entertain us by running threw the sprinkler.

For some reason people will do anything that the girls tell them to, so Grandma and Sherrie were "talking" on the phone with the Addison. She thought it was pretty fun playing with them, and I thought it was pretty funny watching them!

When it got dark enough Jayden and Terrie lit some fireworks and the girls thought they were pretty cool!

We had so much fun this year on the big 24th, we will be back next year to do it all over again!

What have the Leavitts been doing??

This week has been , HOT, super hot, like how it normally is!!!

So we have been jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler, swimming in the little pool, but mostly we have been hiding inside with all the windows closed and the AC on!

Jerrica's wedding is coming up super soon and I have got a few things i am in charge of so I have been busy, busy, busy this week!
So has Kyle, he got all of our corn in the ground, and he went a little overboard!

One thing I am in charge of at the wedding is, the cake. It will be making the trip across country with me so it is all "dummy cakes" and I thought i better do it a little while before the big day so the fondant would be hard enough to not break!

I like the way it turned out, I think it needs something around the bottoms cause i could not get the fondant as pretty as it should be, dummy cakes are kinda hard to work with!

Also, Annie, the girls, and boy, came over to visit! The girls played all day and while i held the baby Annie and i talked and talked! Then I told her i had to have a picture of this little man, so here is the million dollar shot, I will expect my check next week Annie!!!!!!   ; )

finishing the updates...

Now that summer has hit the Valley and no one leaves the house till dark, our tomatoes burnt up. It was a happy day for me! After lots of canning i was not one bit sad to see them die!

Plus with them gone, my watermelons have plenty of room to move and grow!

Since the twins were newborns, I have been going to get their ears pierced. But I still can remember when I made Steph hold Grace down so we could get hers done and I just dont like making the kids cry for no reason! With that being said, Grandma Nancy gave the girls money to get them done for their birthdays way back in April, So Tuesday we loaded up and went to St. George!!!

The day before I asked both the girls if they wanted them done and they both said yes, I told them that it would hurt. Grace decided to elaborate and at breakfast I heard her tell them this story, "When I was a little baby I got my ear pierced, and let me tell you, it hurt, it hurt bad little sisters, I cried, and cried, are you sure you guys want your ears to be pretty like mine?"

Even after her story the girls still wanted them done!
I decided that Alaynna would cry the most so she would go first, then the plan was to go out and go one way while Nancy and Addison went in so the girls could not talk and tell each other how bad it hurt!

But Alaynna didnt really cry at all, she had a sucker and it kept her mind off of it! When it was Addisons turn, she flinched while they were cleaning her ears and then we they got them in she cried and sobbed pretty much till she fell asleep in the car!
They both really do love their "pretties" and I am glad that I waited to do the them!

This is one of our pumpkin plants, It was growing out into the road so we had to train it to grow back into the yard!

After shopping and finding some pretty good deals, Nancy took Grace with her to Cedar to have a sleepover and Grace seemed to have alot of fun on her little vacation! But I was sure glad to have her home, when she is gone I realize how much she helps!!!

Grace turns 5, SAY WHAT!

My little baby, turned 5! I really can not believe that 5 years have passed so quickly.

Grace was really into her birthday and  helped me plan everything! At first we didnt think anyone would be around so we were just going to do our own little thing, but then the Leavitts decided that they would all be around, like the whole big clan!!! So we decided that Nancy would have a little BBQ at her house and we would all come and crash it! My dad even got to make it!

Grace really wanted to help me make her cake, so I let her tell me everything to make. She decided that she wanted a "Tangled" cake. Her favorite part of the movie is the lanterns, so that had to be on the cake, and she loves the tower and wants to live in it! A few of the other requests were...
pink, purple and blue cake, strawberry's and bananas in it and Rapunzel and Flin Rider on it! I almost made all of her requests happen!

She also really wanted a thing called a FIDGIT friend, so that is what we got her! Just a side note..... the thing is freaking annoying! But she loves it so i guess it makes up for it, kinda!

She also got a easel, galoshes, clothes, flip flops, lots of art stuff, blankets, and lots of cute girly stuff! she loved it all!!!

After lots of hours and a few panic attacks, we got Graces cake done. I got almost all of it the way she wanted it, I didnt put "hair" all over it like i planned, but setting a cake up in front of a lot of people make me realllllly nervous and I just couldnt do it cause i got a bad case of the shakes!

After we all had some yummy hotdogs and hamburgers, Kyle got called out! We had to eat cake without him, I learned that when I airbrush cakes I need to warn people that it may turn your mouth, teeth, and lips the color of the cake, in this case blue!!!

After we ate cake and ice cream, the power went out!!! So that meant the party was over!!!!

Grace said she had a really good birthday and her favorite part other than the cake was getting to have Lucy, Abby, and everyone else there!

5 years has really went by so fast and I couldnt ask for a sweeter little helper! I dont know what we would do with out her, our lives would for sure be alot quieter, but not nearly and fun!

fireworks

We were camping only about 10 minutes away from Brian Head so we decided that we would watch the fireworks from there!

Grace wore her hat the whole time, she really did not take it off till she fell asleep!

We got down there early so we played in the truck and Grace sang and danced, she was really bouncing off the walls!

While we were waiting for the fireworks to start, a firefighter that was shooting the fireworks off  came and talked to us. He said that there were 900 shots, that meant nothing to us, till the fireworks started!

We were really close to them, and they were awesome. They were right over us and so loud. Grace would cover her eyes and yell, "i'm blind" and cover her ears and yell, "so loud!" She had so much fun!

Alaynna was tired so just just hung out with Kyle and hide her face!

Addison was helping me take the pictures, she liked to look at them on the camera more than she liked to watch them!

Both Kyle and I agreed that they were a really close 2nd to the Disneyland fireworks, really they were so awesome! If you have a chance to go you should really go and go early cause there was probably 10,000 other people watching them with us!

Before we even got to the trailer all 3 of the girls were passed out!

Every time we camp I always ask Kyle the same question, "can any of the girls fall out of the pop out" He answers me the same every time,"Jessica, stop worrying, they can not fall out."
SOOOOO... Tuesday morning  I was awoke by Grace crying, "mom, mom, mom" So half asleep I get up to see if she needed to go potty. Then I hear her crying again, "mommy, mommy, mommy." But she was outside. My fist thought was crap she was sleepwalking again, but NOPE, she fell out of the trailer!!!!!!!
No worries, she was fine, just a little scared!

After all of the excitement of Grace falling, we got ready and then pulled the trailer to Marysvale for our next camping trip!
We had so much fun and cant wait for the next trip we go on!!!
