Oh Christmas Tree...

I waited till Grace wouldnt let me wait anymore to put up our Christmas tree. With 2 little 20 month olds running around, I knew that it would be pointless to decorate a tree that would be stripped of decorations in 5 minutes.
But it is Christmas so we put our tree up anyways, and it did take about 5 minutes for there to be no decorations on the bottom half of the tree!
This year i put my little tree in Graces room and it has kept the girls really entertained, They have had alot of fun decorating and undecorating it!

The night we put it in there, they all wanted a picture by it, so when i went to get my camera they put all the stuffed animals down by it so they could be in the picture too!

Grace wanted to get a few pictures with her camera too. (before she took this she asked for my lens cleaner, there was a smudge on her lens she needed to clean! She hears everything you say, then repeats it)

Alaynna was modeling for Grace!

It was bedtime so Addison was crying and hiding in the closet wanting to go to sleep!

Alaynna had to get a few pictures of Grace, to bad she has it upside down. I think i have some photographers on my hands!

This is what Alaynna was taking a picture of, Crazy Grace-Lynn!

This is our big Christmas tree, notice the lack of decorations on the bottom half and the shoes in place of the decorations!

It looks better when you can only see the lights and no kids toys hung in it!

The girls put all the toys, shoes, clothes, everything in the tree!

I made the mistake of telling Grace we were going to go see Santa while we we eating breakfast, so all day i had to listen to her ask if it was time yet!
When I told her we were going to see him she said, "what the holy molly, I have to say that twice cause I'm
so excited!"

I took a picture of our picture cause i had to put one with Grace sitting on Santas lap on the blog! She asked him if he could bring her a tea pot, she has changed her mind alot so hopefully she likes what Santa brings her!

The twins didnt really like Santa this year, i think the picture shows just how much they didnt like him!

Last but not least, we are sick...............

Addsion has it the worst, she sounds horrible but the doctor wasnt in today so hopefully we survive and get better by monday!

Alaynna is usually my sickling, but shes not got "it" that bad this time!

Grace just has a stuffed up nose, but did learn the phrase "what the funk" I was not to happy when she came home from school saying it cause it doesnt sound like there is a "N" it it sometimes.
So if she says it anymore i told her she was going to learn to love the taste of soap!

I am also feeling like crapola, but i have these three little crazys that i have to take care of so i dont get a sick day!!!!

Leavitt Happenings

My little dancer, Grace, got a 100% attendance award! She loves to go to dance class and every morning she wakes up and says, "is it dance class today?"! We are getting ready for her winter dance recital this weekend and we are so excited to see what dance she has learned this year!

The other girls had to get in on the picture, they are really into getting there pictures taken right now. Grace on the other hand doesnt like her picture taken as much as she use to!

The other night while we were eating spaghetti noodles, the twins went crazy with them. They had noddles head to toe and i was cleaning the out of the carpet for at least the next day!

Alaynna would get as big as hand full as she could and shove the whole thing in her mouth, this is her showing me a train wreck!

She also really likes to get dressed and she puts on ever piece of clothing she can find. This is what i like to call her exercise look with the head band!

We have the opposite problem with Addison, as soon as i get clothes on her it doesnt take long for her to strip out of them!

Lauren and Allie came over the other day and dropped a gift off for Grace.
Grace has not left the present alone and kept asking if she could open it.
She put it up on the table and came running in and said " the present made a noise, it said 'i'm a book'"
I just laughed at her.
A few minutes later she came in and had her fingers in the shape of a square and said, "what do you think this is?"
I said, "a square?"
she says, " No, what do you think that present is that is in the shape of a square?"
Again I just laughed!

So today I was in cleaning up the little girls room and they were all out in the living room playing, or so i thought, when Addison comes running down and shows me a new box of crayons!!!
After i came out and asked Grace what happened, she just said," I dont know she must have just got it down, all by herself, and opened it up with Alaynna!"
I knew that was not quite how it happened so after some investigating I got to the bottom of it and Grace was the one that got it down and showed Addison how to open it!!!!

Addison was pretty excited about opening it, can you tell??????

This is why i will have no presents out till Christmas morning!!!!!

ba humbug

This last week or so has been a long one for me, It made me realize that i should carry a sign with me that says
"ba humbug",
cause that is how i feel!

Last Monday I had a doctors appointment, that turned into 3 doctors appointment and a horrible tension migraine that put me in bed for the rest of the day and night.
Tuesday I had to go get Grace her Kindergarten shots, 5 shots. I had told her that if she was a big girl we could go shopping and get her a treat. She was really scared, but when we got in the room, she sat up on my lap and didnt cry till the last 2. When she did start to cry it was just tears running down her face,
i was also crying,
it was sad,
really sad.
For her treat she decided that she wanted a taco from Dell Taco and to play on the slide.
Wednesday all the girls started to get runny noses, I got a head ache.
Thursday nothing happened and Friday we didnt do anything all morning and it was great!
Friday night was Kyle Christmas party so we dropped the kids off with Nancy and Penn and headed to Mesquite. We didnt say alot and just enjoyed the quietness of no kids, after the week i had it was a nice little break.
Saturday we worked outside on the garden and did nothing,
it was wonderful.
Sunday Steph and Skyler came down to Vegas for the NFR so we went into Vegas to go hang out with them, my mom was nice enough to come and watch my little monsters!!
We ate at the cheesecake factory, ( i think that it is my favorite place to eat! ) I ate the best guacamole and some
yummy pasta and I had to get the chocolate cake!!
After we ate, we went to Mystere at the treasure island, I was in amazement with how strong they are and some of the cool stuff that they can do. It had a crazy story line, well I really dont think it had a story line, but it was funny and it was really so cool. I for sure want to go see the rest of the cirque du soleil shows here in Vegas!

Before we ate i was trying to take a picture of me and Kyle, I only had his little camera that i dont know how to work, so these are the shots i got............

This one is suppose to be of us, but his camera has the slowest shutter speed ever and as i looked to see if the camera was broke this is the picture it took!!!!
I told Kyle to smile cute, but this is the smile i got, he loves pictures!!!
Another one of me trying to get a pictures, but it just wasnt working!
This picture is the best i could get, and this is proof of why i never take pictures of us, we just end up looking dorky!!!!
We were suppose to get a picture of all 4 of us, but we forgot, next time for sure!!!

Now it is Wednesday , ( i started this post about 3 days ago ) Thursday and I havent slept in 2, 3 days cause my poor Addison is sick!
Someone is always sick at this house, it makes for long days and reallllllly long nights, but thats life with 3 kids i guess!!

I am going to drink a Pepsi and hope my next post is a little more "cheery"!!!!!

Winter Garden

Today when i should have been putting up some Christmas decorations or cleaning my home or doing something else that has been on my "to do" list, i helped Kyle plant some Peas and Carrots in the garden!

When i say "helped" I really told him where i wanted things planted and how i thought it should be done.

I did put seeds in the holes that he dug, but really he is about as obsessive compulsive as i am so sometimes it is just easier to watch him and say i am helping instead of actually helping!

On his days off last week he planted some cauliflower,

and some broccoli.
We have quite a bit so if it does good I told him i was going to set up a little vegetable stand out front!
Or maybe just take it around to the neighbors!!!

 These are our peas. They dont look like much now, but just wait a few weeks we will have more peas than we know what to do with!

This is the carrots and we really went over board with the seeds cause they are tiny and so we will probably have to thin them out, alot!

Now i just need to find or make some cute vegetable markers and we will be good for awhile!

Also this week Kyle made it into the paper for his beautiful sheep that he killed, right HERE!

The paper got it a little wrong so to set the record straight,

It wasnt luck that Kyle found the sheep, it was all skill!!!
AND... I was not giving Kyle a hard time about this wonderful hunt, I would never do that!!!!!!

But I was proud of my little hunter husband for making into the paper!

Thanksgiving

To start this post off i am going to finish my thankful post, I only did the first 10 days, cause for some reason this month has just flown by for me and I have got nothing done!

S0................

11. Stephanie- I have been lucky enough to have a best friend that is more like a sister! Steph and I were the only girls all threw our elementary school years, so we were stuck with each other! We had some great times together and we were both a little weird so we made a good team! A few things i will never forget, ( probably anyone that grew up with us will remember alot of these ) ,
Pencil doctors
Kicking the crap out of boys
Climbing the lilly hill
Sliding down the lilly hill
Tanning on the water tanks
Riding bikes
All of our cool "huts"
Writing notes in code
Being mean to Russell (who we love dearly!!!)
Taking Mr. Winns candy
Eating war heads
Screaming john jacob jingleheimer schmidt on the swings
Making hard candy and taffy
Eating cookie dough and laffy taffy for lunch pretty much everyday,
there are so many more i could go on forever.

12. Friends growing up- I have been lucky enough to have some great friends and alot of the reason i stayed out of trouble growing up was because we kept each other out of trouble.  I am thankful that we could make some great memory's together! Here are a few i can think if right now...
The sleepover at Jolees when i kissed a boy
The sleepover at my house when my mom found out i kissed a boy
Peanut butter balls
Kelsee and Jolee with tissue up her nose cause of my cat
Light as a feather, stiff as a board
Locking Stephanie and Jacob in the locker room
Band where Kelsee and Jolee could play the clarinet, Me and Steph didnt have reeds half the time
Drillteam trips and practices
Early morning psychology class that some one cheated in
Our Junior Carnival and Junior Prom

13. Grown up friends- Having friends when you married and have kids is alot different than just having friends when you are young. Good friends are hard to come by so i am thankful that Lauren is my friend. We have kids about the same ages, husbands that are friends, and so it is pretty easy to get along with her. I know that when ever i am down she is there for me, (usually with food) and it is nice to have someone i can call and say hey my kids are driving me crazy lets go out!!! Which brings me to.......

14. Bunko / girls night out girls- We use to do Bunko once a month, and that how we all met! Girls night out is always so fun and after i have a girls night i always feel like everyone has the same problems i do and i am not alone, we laugh and eat and usually watch a movie. In fact i think it is about time for a girls night!!!

15. A good book

16. Growing up in a small town- I loved that when we were little we could walk to school or the store and not be afraid of get kidnapped or something, I loved that we rode our bikes everywhere and if we ever were in need of help we could knock on pretty much any ones door and be helped. I am probably more sheltered and naive than i would be if i grew up in a bigger town, but i really am so thankful that i was able to grow up in such a great place!

17. Internet shopping- You can find everything you need and you dont have to deal with any rude people, and usually you can find a better price!

18. Pepsi- I am really thankful for Pepsi when Kyle brings me one when i dont even ask!

19. Good teachers- I had a few good teachers growing up and the things that i remember from school are things that they showed me. Now that i have kids of my own i am especially thankful that there are teachers out there like Mr. Amy, (graces teacher). I have been so impressed of the things that Grace has learned in these few short months of school.

20. Sesame street- It might not win me the mother of the year award, but the hour or so of sesame street that the girls watch every morning helps me get through the day! I can get the house picked up and sometimes even get in the shower without 3 kids running in and out of the shower with me!

21. Indoor pluming- God put me here in this time cause he knew i would never last without modern day convenience.

22. Date night- I love my kids and I love to be with them, but i also love date night! I love that i get to spend just a few hours with Kyle alone, it makes me remember why we love each other!

23. Babysitters who help on date night- Most of the time that is My mom or Nancy, and I really am so thankful that they are so great to help out.

24. A yard big enough to have a garden- We started our winter garden this last week while Kyle was home and we are getting ready for our spring garden to, I am really excited to have a big garden and am so thankful that we have room for it and room for the girls a nice pay area!

25. My straightener- I have some curl to my hair and with out my straightener I would be a big frizz ball!

26. This Blog- I love that i am able to turn this into a scrap book cause i write stories that happen down and i know if i didnt keep up with this i would never remember some of the cute things that happen here at the Leavitt Home!!

27. Drive thrus- When you have more than one kid you know how hard it can be to get out of the car, get 3 kids out of the car, go into the store, find what you need, and then get out in a timely manner. Especially when all you want is a Pepsi.

28. Freedom of speech- cause i usually say way to much and i can not keep my opinions to myself!

29. Pictures- Sometimes when i am having "one of those days" I just like to sit and look at pictures and remember the good things in life!

last but not least.....

30. My monsters- My 3 girls drive me up a wall, but in the best ways! I love that i am able to stay at home with them and watch them grow! They really do make me so happy and even when they are little monsters it seems like not long after i get upset with them they do something really cute and nice!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Grandma and Grandpa Leavitts home! Pretty much the whole Leavitt family was there from one time or another, and it was nice!
The girls ran and ran and had such a great time, the food was great, we all ate till we couldnt eat anymore, and we were surrounded with family, what more could you ask for!
We didnt leave till about 5:30 and from there house to ours is less than a mile, but the twins were out cold by the time we made it home! I tried to wake them up by putting on the PJ's, but that just made them mad and they cried alot!
They did wake up about a half an hour later with belly aches, but after we changed diapers they were back out, Grace was not to far behind them and was out at about 6:30!!
These are the only pictures i got, cause i am a slacker with pictures, blogging, house cleaning, kid cleaning, putting up decorations, some thing happened to my energy hopefully i can find some and get back on the ball!!
It is late but i hope everyone enjoyed thanksgiving!!!!!
