Summer catch up

It is summer!! 

That means we live in our swimming suits, and dont leave the house cause it is to hot!  

A few things we have done so far.....

I made pickles, they are SO good, next batch i will do a few things different but i have really loved eating all the pickles I have made! 

We have been busy playing with Jakell and the kids, they came down for a few weeks and we visited with them as much as we could!

Grace had a wonderful end of school year! She loved water day and her pizza party! She has enjoyed school this year, but I think we were all excited for summer vacation! 

We made smores awhile ago, the girls dont really like them, they would rather eat a marshmallow, then some chocolate, then a cracker, mixing them they dont like!!

Jakell stayed at my moms, so we went and visited them over there and went swimming! My girls love to swim!!!

Jakell really tried to make it fun for us to be over there so she got some goggles and a few beach balls to play with down in the pool, the goggles were so tight that they hurt all of there eyes and really made me and Jakell laugh!

She got us ice cream Sundays to have, the kids liked putting all the candy on the more then actually eating them!! 

I got to babysit her kids while she and Riley went to graduation, we had fun with them! I was nervous they would just cry and scream the whole time, but between me and kyle there was only a few little melt downs!

Our garden was sad this year, I didnt even get a batch off all the tomatoes we planted, but we did get corn! I frozen a bunch of it, so we can eat corn on the cob for the next few months!

Since it is to hot to play out side in the day, we play when the sun goes down! One of our favorite things to do is catch bullfrogs! We only were catching one when we would go down, but we have a system now and can catch one for all the girls to hold!!

The cutest thing that has happened so far is these 3's hair cuts!! They love the short hair they have now, and they look so cute!! Meagan did such a great job and was really patient with these 3 wiggly girls!!

Memorial Day

We decided to take the trailer up to Marysvale over the 4 day long weekend! We knew it would be a little cooler up there, and it defiantly was!

One of the girls favorite thing to do there is go to the park, it is about the least favorite thing for me and kyle! But we were nice and took them to the park and to the school playground! They had alot of fun!

I tried to teach them how to "pump" there legs while swinging and I got a little car sick! I guess thats when you know  you are getting old!

My favorite thing to do while in Marysvale is to go for rides, We just went for a little ride up the canyon and seen a turkey and a deer!

Grace didnt sleep well, so that means that none of us slept well, so she was taking a little nap on this ride.

We didnt do alot on this trip, we mostly just raked up weeds and moved fire wood, and visited lots of family!

It wasnt summer weather up there yet, but by the time we get up there next i am sure it will be a little warmer! I did our summer calender and we are busy till January, but we like it that way!

Summer

It is summer here, and I really have been enjoying it. I use to hate it when it got hot, but this year it has been different.

Summer should be defined as....
When the temperature stays above  70* all the time!
I learned last weekend that summer in Utah is WAY different than summer here at home!
We have been swimming in the reservoir for at least the last month, the twins have lived in there swimming suits for the last 2 months, I have been in shorts for at least the last 2 months, and I have a awesome tan line on my feet from my toms, that is when you know it is summer!!

Now dont get me wrong when the real hot summer weather get here, like when the temperature doesnt fall past 90*, you will find me hiding out in Utah! 

Kyle and I were talking the other day and I said after 10 years, Moapa Valley finally feels like home. I dont know if it is cause we know that we are never leaving or if it just home now, but I like the feeling of home! 

I have become a bird watcher, I made Kyle put me a bird feeder right outside my front window!
It may be weird or "old lady" of me, but it honestly is so calming. If we ever come into lots of money we are going to be birders, ya those crazy people who go bird watching all over the world.

Maybe we are weirder than I think!!!

Any one else out there learn how to use your camera and then take less pictures?
I feel like I learned how to shoot on manual and now I just dont shoot like I use to, maybe I am just in a funk, but I am thinking about getting a point and shoot so I can take 100's of pictures like I use to! 

Sick and Lazy...

This last little while we have been sick.
It started with the twins and Addison couldnt kick this bad stomach bug and had it for 5 long, long days!!!
Then I got it, and then I have had some bad luck with my migraines, like been laying in bed all day for a few days, no oils of pills would help these babies!.
Grace got it, and stayed home from school. My couch still smells like puke from her sickness!
Kyle even got it and had to take a day off work, and he never takes a day off!

Why dont moms get a day off?! I am at least lucky to have Kyle that will come home and throw a frozen pizza in and take the kids off my hands!!

We have been just hanging out close to home before the heat comes and we run to Utah to hide from it! I think that now since the sickness has went threw all of us, the girls more that once, we will hopefully get back to life!!
Only 9 school days left, I think I am more excited that Grace! I cant wait to not have to wake up to an alarm and no more packing a lunch!

Frogs

We were bored with sitting here, so we decided to go for a little ride!

When we got to where we were going, there was some water ponds that had some tadpoles in them, the girls really liked that and wanted to bring them home!

Grace was trying to be a sheep and climb the rocks, she didnt get to far cause she had her flip flops on!

There were a few little frogs, they made Kyle chase this one and catch him!

The girls love frogs and hold them and pet them to the point of near death!

Alaynna got a little hot and sick, so it was time to go back home for lunch!
Our little rides are some of the funnest times we have, I hope the girls will remember them and remember how fun they were!

May Day

Grace was nervous for her May Day dance this year! She had practiced and practiced, she even taught the twins to do her dance!

I helped in her class the day of the dance, she had been complaining of a belly ache all day and after we went to the book fair she threw up and then took a little nap! 

She didnt even eat dinner, but we got her all ready and made our way up to the fair grounds.

I stayed over at the school so I could help, and holy hanna the kids were hyper!

They were all running around being crazy, except for Grace and Markus, who were sitting in there desks quietly talking to each other, they are both true Leavitt's!

We walked over to the fair grounds a little early so Mrs. Brooks could watch her daughter dance!

1st Graders get bored easily, so they played duck, duck, goose, and Simon says while we waited, I decided I would NEVER be a teacher, EVER.

By the time it was there turn they were all a little nervous, but they did so great out there!

Grace even danced, I was worried she would just stand there with her fingers in her mouth. Addison did the whole dance with her on the side!
